PHP developer

Location: Sevenoaks, Kent
Salary: Negotiable dependent on skills and experience

Maze is currently looking for an enthusiastic PHP developer to work within our in-house web design & development team on existing and new client projects.

We're a small design-driven digital agency based in Sevenoaks, Kent producing high quality websites and online solutions for a varied range of clients. Working at Maze you'll be a part of a small supportive, creative and collaborative team that's passionate about producing great design and exceptional websites, together with learning new skills and techniques and having fun doing it.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated, technical individual with at least 1 year of commercial experience, or be able to demonstrate a good grounding in PHP web development through example projects.

Requirements

You will:

• Have a good understanding of PHP & MySQL
• Have experience with both front-end and back-end development
• Have a good understanding of XHTML, HTML5 & CSS
• Have knowledge of web standards
• Be a good communicator and enjoy working with a team

It would be nice if you have:

• Experience using a PHP framework - Zend, CodeIgniter or other framework
• Experience working with open source systems (Wordpress, Magento or other)
• Experience with jQuery, AJAX, XML, RSS, SOAP
• Experience with E-commerce and Payment Gateways
• Linux Server Administration experience
• Experience working with source control (e.g. Git, Subversion)

• To develop php driven applications quickly & efficiently within agreed specifications and deadlines
• To work on and develop existing projects
• To support our clients technically & efficiently with any queries they may have
• To liaise with clients and team members as and when required
• To efficiently manage projects ensuring they meet timescales and deadlines
• To represent the company in a professional manner at all times
• To have fun

This is a permanent position based in Chipstead, Sevenoaks, Kent. Remote applications will not be considered.
